Ring the assistant’s own number, shown under Phone Number. If that answers, the assistant is fine and the problem is forwarding. If it does not, carry on.

Check your business number is actually forwarded. This is the one everybody misses. Dialling the code is a step you do on your handset, and nothing tells you it lapsed.

Check your answering hours under Call Handling. If a rule says a person answers at this time, the assistant will not — that is it working correctly.

Check the number was not blocked. Caller screening on the same screen refuses specific numbers and, optionally, withheld numbers.

Check your subscription is active under Manage Subscription.

Still nothing — email us with the number you rang and roughly when.
