Connect your iCloud calendar so every booking shows on your iPhone, iPad and Mac.
Connect Apple Calendar and each new booking is added to the calendar you choose, moved when the booking is rescheduled and removed when it is cancelled. Google and Microsoft calendars work the same way and connect with a sign-in button. Apple does not offer one, so it uses an app-specific password instead.
It works one way only: events you add to your calendar yourself do not change when customers can book.
Use the app-specific password, not your Apple Account password. Anything that does not look like one is refused before it is sent anywhere.
Changing your Apple Account password cancels every app-specific password. The card then shows “Needs attention”, the account owner gets one email, and bookings are not added until you reconnect with a new app-specific password.
Changing calendar only affects new bookings. Bookings already added stay where they are and are still moved or removed there.
An app-specific password can also open your iCloud Mail and Contacts. It is only used to add, move and remove booking events, and it is stored encrypted. To remove the access completely, disconnect on the card and delete the password at account.apple.com.
No. Bookings are added to your calendar, but your calendar is not read back. Set the hours you take bookings for each person under Quote & Booking Settings.
No. The event goes into your calendar only, and nobody is invited to it. Customers get their usual booking confirmation.
Usually your Apple Account password changed, which cancels app-specific passwords: create a new one and choose Reconnect. If the calendar you chose was deleted, or is shared with you read-only, choose another calendar instead.
The same ones as for Google and Microsoft. Each booking source can be switched on or off under Quote & Booking Settings › Booking Settings, with “Add the booking to my connected calendar”.
