Connect Xero once for the whole account, then let your assistant turn a conversation into a quote.
Applies to: Accounts that use Xero
Connect Xero from Integrations › Accounting & quotes. One connection serves the whole account, and you choose what it is for: AI quotes, chasing unpaid invoices, or both.
With AI quotes on, your assistant can put together a written quote from your services — in a chat or on a call — and either save it as a draft in Xero for you to check, or email it to the customer straight away. Chasing unpaid invoices is what Outbound › Xero uses to ring customers about overdue invoices.
Your assistant quotes only the services switched to Include on Xero quotes, at the prices you set. It cannot invent a discount, and it only adds a line for something that is not in your services if you allow it to.
There are limits on how many quotes one conversation, one assistant and one hour can produce, so nobody can fill your Xero with drafts. A limit left blank uses the highest one we allow.
You can hold quote follow-ups back while a quote is still a draft, so a customer is never chased about a quote they have not been sent.
Under Manage › Quote defaults, an account owner chooses whether a quote’s summary names the job’s address: always, only for customers already in Xero, or never. A new customer’s address is saved on their Xero contact, so it shows on the quote anyway; a customer already in Xero keeps the address they had, so the summary is where this job’s address shows.
AI quotes are not available for an assistant that takes its bookings through Square.
No. With AI quotes on and online booking not activated, Quote & Booking Settings shows just your services and how to price them, so you can build the list you quote from first. Your services and their quote details stay as they are if you activate booking later.
Xero is connected once, on Integrations, and Outbound › Xero uses that connection. If it says invoice chasing is off, reconnect from Integrations and tick Chase unpaid invoices.
Under Manage › Recent AI quotes. The quote itself is in Xero, like any other quote.
So a quote line linked to one of your Xero items uses that item’s own description, account and tax rate. It is read-only: AIssie never changes your items. If you connected before it was asked for, Integrations offers a reconnect; until then quotes are still made, and their lines use your service names.
