Each real enquiry becomes a client and a job in ServiceM8, from your own job template, and bookings can land in your technicians’ diaries.
Applies to: Businesses using ServiceM8
Connect ServiceM8 and every real enquiry your assistant takes, in chat or on the phone, becomes a client and a job in your ServiceM8 account. Hang-ups, spam, sales calls, wrong numbers and your own test calls stay in AIssie and are not sent, so they do not use up job numbers.
The connection covers your whole account. What each assistant sends is set on the same card.
The job’s address comes from the Leads field that captures an address, with no need to map it. If your Leads settings capture no address, the card says so and offers a button to add one.
If your assistant takes bookings on its AIssie calendar, the card shows Copy bookings to ServiceM8 and Who does the work. With the copy on, each booking becomes a job from your template at the address it was booked at, with a diary entry for the technician linked to the person it was booked with. When the booking moves or is cancelled in AIssie, the diary entry moves or is removed too, unless somebody has changed it in ServiceM8, in which case a note on the job says so. Switching the copy on also copies the visits already booked.
Under Who does the work, link each ServiceM8 technician to a person in AIssie, or choose Add to AIssie to create one. A link is saved as soon as you choose it. Keep people in step with ServiceM8 stops an archived technician taking bookings and carries a new name across. Block time that’s busy in ServiceM8 keeps customers from being booked with a technician while they have a ServiceM8 job or leave.
If your assistant does not take bookings in AIssie, set When the assistant can offer times instead, and switch on Let the assistant book into your diary if you want jobs scheduled rather than arriving unscheduled. It cannot see staff leave, breaks or travel between jobs.
Only real customer enquiries are sent. A hang-up, a sales call, a wrong number or a test call from your own phone is kept in AIssie but not sent to ServiceM8. You can still read it under Conversations.
No. When a booking is copied to ServiceM8, the enquiry from the same conversation is not sent as a second job.
New enquiries stop reaching ServiceM8. Clients and jobs already there are not affected.
